I’m still a little bent outta shape that I had to cancel my trip. Marilyn’s photo collages make me feel that regret even more. Look at that blue sky! I’m here to tell you, November in Seattle is a whole different animal than November in Napa. Last night it got dark at 4:36. When I went to Victrola I was wearing a hat, a scarf, my big wooly sweater, and gloves. Gloves. Sheesh.
Never mind, you make do with what you’ve got. Nia and I went out to lunch down in Columbia City yesterday. Georgina’s Counter is painted in bright colors, has cool art on the walls, and big windows that face west. I had the ALT - a BLT that subs avocado for the bacon - and Nia had a burger. The service was good, even though the place was hopping - and the food was deeeelicious. You can have sweet potato french fries; they’re a beautiful golden brown and orange color. After breakfast we stopped in at the Columbia City Gallery (I gotta get my work here in the spring) where the art is surpisingly affordable. Then drove through the neighborhood taking the scenic route home.
A move south to Columbia City is looking more and more attractive…

Yes, it would have been a glorious weekend for you to be here. We’ve been having unseasonably warm weather. If it’s any consolation, the 50’s are supposedly on their way next week. Sweet potato fries…love ‘em!
