Maria Cantwell has bucked up, got a spine, is showing serious gumption, etc. etc. amen, and is working like a madwoman to block the ANWR drilling bill. Ted Stevens, that underhanded so and so, rolled drilling into a defense bill and Maria is not having any of it. If you live in Washington state - and maybe even if you don’t - you ought to drop her a line right now telling her how much you appreciate her nerve. She’s gonna take it on the chin for blocking a defense bill - just count how many times you’ll hear that she doesn’t “support the troops” or “is letting terrorists win.” This is chutzpah, people. And to that I say, right ON.
That’s some rousing politics right there. Hot damn! Go git ‘em!
