We’re just back from La Ciaspolada, the snowshoe races in Fondo, Italy. This is the second year we’ve gone for Snowshoe Magazine. We had a really nice time hanging out with the coach of the US Snowshoe Racing team, the runners, and their families. Nice folks, they made us feel included in spite of our amatueurish relationship with the sport and our total lack of speed.
Lots of photos here.

We have a snowshoe team?? (Please tell me that’s not an Winter Olympics sport that I’ve just somehow missed.) Nice photos.

We DO have a team, but snowshoeing isn’t yet an Olympic sport. There was a lot of talk of including it this year at the Trentino Olympics, but no go - yet. For now, it kind of gets lumped in with running.
