Robes and all, you shall go forth in to the world credentialed and with authority, looking at stuff, writing things down, and, when asked what you do, you will proudly state, with no further explanation. "I have a doctorate in Flanuer Studies. I'm doing research." Taking time to see things and walk around takes tons of effort, not to mention all of the stress that goes into finding suitable part time work to allow you have the money to take the time to walk around and look at things, and if that were not enough, dodging people who think they are doing you a favor by offering you full time employment is a serious calorie burn. Here's something heartwarming, Pam: My parents, after seeing me in Yuma, are now supportive of the Flaneuse profession. They said spending all their money on a house and upkeep was stupid and they much more prefer walking around and looking at things.
