Losing my religion

I am not the kind of person who believes in the classic Judeo-Christian god, a biblical old testament sort of god, a vengenful lightning from the heavens kind of god. This is good because if I was, I would leave Las Vegas convinced that god is dead.

  1. Somebody I know described Vegas as “so wrong and yet so right”. Do you agree with the second half of that? I do. If one big Vegas didn’t exist, I think lots of little ones would spring up everywhere, expressions of a national id that will not be suppressed. Is there anything you liked about Vegas?

  2. Let’s add Amsterdam in the city to that list of ‘so wrong and yet so right’ … I’m heading back next week, just to see what I see this time.
