Linky Deliciousness IV

Does anyone else want that graphic on a t-shirt? Because I sure do. It’s from a blog out of Iran.

Updated: I’ve pulled the links. Via the blog I found out that Iran is now celebrity worshipping antisemitic poster boy Mel Gibson. I don’t think Iran’s touting Mel as a hero is an example of free speech and it’s not clear where the writers stand on that. I’m pretty depressed about the rise anti-Israel/anti-Semitic sentiment I’m seeing and would like to see more open indictment of it. I still think that’s a damn fine graphic, though.

Relinking. The Internet. Man, it’s amazing. The View from Iran. The writer and I have traded a little email and my impressions were wrong, wrong, wrong.
So instead…Jocelyn from Trip Advisor has the second Travel Carnival up. I laughed pretty hard over this quote from Karen‘s entry:

And believe me, you’ve not lived until you’ve heard a drunken rendition of “Stairway to Heaven” sung in a thick French accent. I’m just saying.

Ha! Yes, that line (and commentary) had me laughing out loud as well.

It reminded me of a trip to the Czech Republic when my ears perked up in a club at hearing a thick Czech accent sing, “County [yes, not country, but county] rooooads… take me hooooome… to a paaaace… I beloooong… Weh Virginaaaaa” My sister and I quickly looked at each other, then (after smiling broadly) both raised our beer mugs and joined him in song!
