Vienna Readers, Can You Help?

You folks delivered the goods when it came to accomodation, now I ask you: Where should we eat?
I’m looking for local recommendations for Turkish, Greek, and Italian places in your fair city. Any other good local spots serving Austrian would be welcome, too. I’ve read lots about the Steierecke but honestly, can it beat the Steierische food we get right here in the Steiermark?
I’ll reformat this to be a Vienna restaurant post, but for now, comments, please? Thanks everso.

Hi there! Hope you enjoy Vienna!
Turkish food at good prices: KENT
There are 2 of them, one at Brunnengasse 67 (16th district) and one in the 15th district.
In the Barnabitengasse (crossroad to Mariahilferstrasse) there is a greek restaurant that is supposed to be good.
The Curry Insel (8th district) serves food from Sri Lanka –> http://www.curryinsel.at
Machu Machu in the Neubaugasse serves the best Falafel
If you crave for a bagel, try ut the Bagelstation, (capistrangasse, also crossroad to Mariahilferstrasse or next to the Votivpark in the Währingerstrasse)
Zwillinggwölb (Universitätstrasse 5) is situated close to the university in the first district It has nice austrian food
Mahlzeit!

Pam, though the Steirereck may be famous, I’d recommend trying a less known, smaller restaurant such as Wickerl (9th district, Porzellangasse 24a) or Liebstöckl&Co (in the beautiful Grinzing area, 19th district, Sandgasse 12). One of my favorite Italian places is La Pasteria (also in the 9th district, Servitengasse 10. But be aware, it’s very small, so reserving a table is recommended!). I heard that the Irodion (3rd district, Landstrasser Hauptstrasse 71) serves good Greek food, but I have not tried it myself. Enjoy your gourmet trip!
