Spoiler free.
- Remember I (heart) Huckabees? Dustin Hoffman is making some terrific offbeat choices in his movie career.
- My irrational fondness for Will Ferrell has increased threefold.
- Those Gyllenhaal kids came from quite the gene pool. What a couple o’ hotties.
- If well done, stories about how you can’t escape fate make for great movies.
- Pay attention, people. Tell a girl you like her cookies (that is not a metaphor) and sing her a little song and you WILL get lucky. Duh.
I really, really, really liked this movie. I loved Emma Thompson, Queen Latifah, the guy who played the best friend, the story, the writing, the staging, the wacky graphic effects, everything. Loved it. I would say more, but I promised spoiler free, and spoiler free I shall remain. Go see it.

I saw an interview with Emma Thompson about this movie. I promptly put it on my ‘to see’ list. It’s good to have your recommendation as well :).

Convincing write-up, I’ll see if I can find it here in the Outpost.
