Five things about Stranger than Fiction

Spoiler free.

  1. Remember I (heart) Huckabees? Dustin Hoffman is making some terrific offbeat choices in his movie career.
  2. My irrational fondness for Will Ferrell has increased threefold.
  3. Those Gyllenhaal kids came from quite the gene pool. What a couple o’ hotties.
  4. If well done, stories about how you can’t escape fate make for great movies.
  5. Pay attention, people. Tell a girl you like her cookies (that is not a metaphor) and sing her a little song and you WILL get lucky. Duh.

I really, really, really liked this movie. I loved Emma Thompson, Queen Latifah, the guy who played the best friend, the story, the writing, the staging, the wacky graphic effects, everything. Loved it. I would say more, but I promised spoiler free, and spoiler free I shall remain. Go see it.
