A Snowman is a Person in Your Neighborhood

I tend to avoid corporate coffee because yes, I’m that kind of hippie, but today, I’d like to give props to the barristas at our local Tully’s.

First, they had the good sense to seize the day and head on to the sledding hill just across the street. We followed them in the door and asked them if them if the cardboard boxes they’d taken with them did the trick. “Yup, plus, we’re going back. The kids sledding there now will have the surface nice and slick by the time they’re done.”

Secondly, they had the cutest damn mini-snowmen on the tables outside. We applaud their resourcefulness and clear sense of priorities on this snow day, possibly the last we’ll have for a while because the weather is due to break tomorrow, returning us to our usual January funk.

We like our carpool friends snowman too, though we’re sorry we weren’t there in time to see the family build it.

  1. See, now that’s what’s wrong with the world…not nearly enough table-top snowmen. Why do we always think BIG when crafting these ‘people’? 😉 I love these smaller versions.
