Slow

Photo “borrowed” from Australian Road Signs, here. Boring personal nonsense below the line.
My imaginary friend at the VTB tells me things me the blogging has slowed at NEV lately. While last night I went to bed with the seasonal ick/cold/flu that is taking everyone down, that’s not the cause of the slow down. I’m just freakishly busy with earning a living.
Because I really am a nerd, I spent Saturday morning entering all my client work into MS Project only to discover myself booked out until the end of the year at 140%. Yowza, that’s a lot of work. Don’t cry for me Mauna Kea - that includes time in Hawaii - but it also means lots of time chained to the keyboard while tackling other, mortgage paying projects. If you wanted to write a post for NEV during that time - something about Seattle, or Fish Wednesday, or your ukulele love affair, or, you know, you read NEV, that could be amusing for both of us.
Don’t go away, though. With nearly two months of travels planned - Hawaii, Vietnam, Cambodia - there’s sure to be something happening that I can’t shut up about.
And yup, I’m bombing the C with Zinc and Echinacea, drinking vast quantities of ginger tea, and Oh My God, I slept for 15 hours yesterday! I went to bed at 5pm, thinking, “I can’t go to bed now, I’ll be up in the middle of the night.” But I was totally wrong about that. It’s fall, comrades, get some exercise and eat right, okay? Mwah.

Of course, your slowdown is a relative thing. You still blog more than 95% of the rest of us.

I hear you. The Malaise has defintely got me in its clutches right now. So much to do and NO desire to do and of it. Sleeping for 15 hours sounds like a Good Thing right about now. Just too bad that real life always seems to get in the way.
Get well soon!
