Mission Uke-complished

Thanks to a site upgrade, there's some wacky character substitution happening in the old posts. Thanks for your patience and understanding -- I'm working on it. In the meantime, please imagine quotation marks where there's weirdness.

I Will Survive

This afternoon, I taught approximately 50 ukulele players how to swing “I Will Survive” on the uke. It was awesome. Everyone rocked. My work here is done.

What worthwhile thing did you do with your Sunday?

“Under the mirror ball at SUPA.”

    Ha!

I am picturing the regular crowd of seniors that hang there when the uke crowd hasn’t taken over the joint. They’re all in polyester and doing the Hustle.

I wish I’d known about your ukulele playing earlier! I’ve been trying to make myself practice the mandolin more, and it would be interesting to know how similar or different the two instruments are :) We’ll have to jam sometime!
