Seabrook Giveaway!

February 17, 2009 – 8:36 am | by nerd's eye view

Comments are now closed on this post.

As you know, we’re great lovers of the Washington Coast here at Nerd’s Eye View. We’ve recently returned from two nights at Seabrook and we think you should go. Lucky you, Nerd’s Eye View was contacted by Seabrook and you have the chance to win a free two night stay! I’m just going to repost the text as it came from the folks at Seabrook – it tells you what to do. The usual disclaimers – restrictions apply, minor revisions made to the text, yadda yadda.

Bonus! If you win – and you want the bonus – I’ll give you advice on where to go and what to do during your stay.  Now, take it away, Seabrook:

The Perfect Giveaway is a Coastal Giveaway: Seabrook, A Beach Town

Out on Washington’s Pacific Coast, the only rubber you’ll burn is on your beach bicycle or your flip-flops. Seabrook, a simple, scenic 2.5-hour drive from Seattle, is a new beach town near Olympic National Park, with pristine beaches, charming cottages and a friendly, village appeal.

If you’re quick on your keyboard, you may find yourself enjoying a free, two-night stay in a swanked out Seabrook cottage (an up to $350 value). Seabrook’s idyllic setting includes beach cruisers (get pedaling!), easy beach access, nearby parks, playgrounds, shuffleboard, horseshoes, fire pits and on-site Northwest dining at the Seabrook café.

For your chance to win, browse the rental cottages of Seabrook and pick your favorite for a vacation. Post a comment citing your dream cottage and why it’s worthy. The contest will end on March 3 at 11:59 p.m. (PST) and there’s just one, highly-envied winner, selected at random from the comments.

If you miss this contest deadline, Seabrook is offering off season incentives for buy one night/get one night free night stays Sun through Thurs through March 12. Call (877) 779-9990 to “get beached” and reserve. Specials must be phoned in, but browse cottage options here (dog friendly avail!).

Warning: Seabrook could be habit-forming; once you stay, you might not want to come back. Lucky for you Seabrook also has great beach homes for sale. View them online.

We chose Seabrook for our recent stay because it’s super comfortable, a great location for seeing the easily reached natural wonders of the Washington Coast, and they have fully stocked kitchens. Our pals the DCDN family held their 10th anniversary party at Seabrook, renting out a whole block of the houses to accommodate gajillion friends, neighbors, and their kids – I’m no expert, but it sure seems like a great place for families. We will absolutely go back there, no question. The off-season rates can’t be beat, either – we got a cottage for four, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, for two nights for 140 dollars.  That’s a serious bargain.

Now, go look and come back and comment. I’ll use the random number generator to pick the winner. You have to put in a cottage name to win, entries without a suggested cottage will be disqualified.

my family and two others stayed at the sand dollar in summer of 2007. It was beautiful and cozy. I am an arhitect and have been following the development of seabrook for years. We have made numerous trips out to the coast to see how the town is developing. Seabrook is a fascinating alternative to other washington coastal towns. I am interested to see how it evolves with some of the commercial properties being developed

Our Family Beach House is our favorite house. We spent Thanksgiving there and had a great time. It is located right across the street from the park and has a great wrap-around porch. I loved to sit on the porch and drink coffee in the morning and listen to the rain.

The beach is a quick walk away — and we found a float!!

Seabrook is the most awesome place to spend a couple of days, and even more enjoyable – a whole week! The Lily Pad is close to the Park and is great for brining the grandkids, or just the two of you. Just a close walk to the beach!

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Sea-Star cottage! It was so perfectly decorated for our seaside escape. It had all the comforts of home, actually better than home with the hot-tub! The kids cried when it was time to leave. Seabrook is a wonderful, amazing, relaxing place to go! I only wish we had found one of the glass balls on the beach!

I absolutely love the Pacific Idyll. The location is perfect – close to the beach, it has got a nice fenced in yard with hot tub and the interior design with the bright yellow walls is so bright and cheerful. I am delighted that it is pet friendly since we always travel with our Chocolate Lab. Seabrook is a wonderful place and I hope that I will be able to go there this spring!

I’d have to go with the Pacific Idyll. Besides the fact that it looks beautiful it appears to have the perfect accomodations for our 4 kids and our dog! I couldn’t imagine anything more relaxing and fun for our family.

We stayed in Seabrook between Christmas and New years and had one of the best family vacations ever! Loved the “Shell Cottage” perfect for a family with two little ones (3 & 4yrs) who loved the hike to the beach, collecting shells and “other treasurers” and lunch at the Cafe best!

My family of four stayed in Forest Echo. We loved it! One of the things I was looking for was a home with a couch large enough to accommodate all four of is. Forest Echo has it and a lot more. The kids (ages 16 and 21) are constantly asking to go back. The beach at night was amazing with lanterns as far as the eyes could see. Seabrook is amazing and we highly recommend it. Did someone say it may become an addiction?!

  46. By Carrie Grant on Feb 26, 2009 | Reply

We’ve stayed at Pine Point and many others, but our dream is to stay at the beautiful “Seabluff at Seabrook”. We travel with our best friends and a total of 3 kids each visit. We’ve visited in winter, spring and summer and each experience is more memorable than the next. From bike riding to hot tubbing, from beach combing to park playing…each visit is a welcome from the stress of “city” living.

I’m drawn to Harmony On The Park. The upper floor would make a great painting studio, with the view of the park. I like the dining room that seats 8 as I like to cook for friends and the porch is perfect for reading, sketching or sipping a glass of wine with family and friends in the evening. I am definitely looking for all these qualities in a retirement home and the beach is the most beautiful I’ve seen in Washington.

I have chosen Adeline w/Carriage house. It is large enough for our family to enjoy a trip to the beach together. We stayed in Ocean Mist last spring and enjoyed it very much but it wouldn’t be big enough for all of us. I envision a Thanksgiving feast with all of us together in one place. Our granddaughter is 3 1/2 and loved the beach there. We didn’t do much outside because it was cold, wet, and windy but did a little anyway. The cottage was cozy and warm regardless of the weather. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Seabrook. We are eagerly anticipating our next trip there.

We have stayed at Bella Beach, Seabrook’s sister community on the Oregon Coast, for 5 summers. It’s spectacular and the cottages are perfectly adorable. At Seabrook, I would choose Seabluff because of the view from the cliff where it sits. I also like the media room for the kids, fireplace and cute nook for reading a book!

It’s Seabluff for us. Between the location, the fabulous view and with two teen-age boys, the pool table — we’re sold. Can’t wait to stay in our next favorite vacation house!

Beach Time looks PERFECT! Cozy enough that the family can bond but big enough that we can get away from each other, too! AND, we can bring the dogs along…the beach is best when you can watch the kids AND the dogs run free.

Have stayed at Seabrook, very cool. Would love to stay in Ocean’s Song – love the photos, looks warm, but with great color. Love the red chairs, would like to have more queen or king beds as couples would come not kids. Also takes large dogs. Took by great German Shepard to Seabrook and he had a blast on the beach.

We are so hooked on Seabrook, we love it. I already have booked for this year 3 stays with family and friends. You have to book early folks to get your favorite house, which ours is the ADELINE WITH THE CARRIAGE HOUSE!
The Adeline offers so much comfort and is right in the middle of everything. We have no pets to worry about but we do have alot of kids and this is the perfect weekend away with them.Any house at Seabrook will feel like home away from home, you’ll love your stay and want to stay!

The Seabluff at Seabrook would truly be my dream come true! A wrap-around porch overlooking the ocean – cannot think of anything more peaceful. And with many amenities to keep the family entertained, that would truly be the prefect beach getaway!

My pick is Pine Point cottage. Directly across from the park, far enough away from it all, but close enough at the same time. My family has stayed there and 3 little girls never got bored. Hot tub, games, books, bikes, everything our whole family could ever need, even a first aid kit for the inevitable “boo boo”! This is a great vacation place, you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time to a simpler way of life and it’s the perfect place to re-connect!

  67. By Lisa on Feb 26, 2009 | Reply

For the past four years my family of just the women have enjoyed having our ‘women retreat’ at the Oregon coast. Reserving the perfect place is in the following order: 1)Ocean front; 2)Ocean view; 3)large home; 4)hot tub. Looking at Seabrook we would choose: Pacific Idy11, Marlowe Manor, Ocean song or Sweet Spot.

  68. By Karla Shaw on Feb 26, 2009 | Reply

Seabrook is right — it is habit-forming! If I came into some extra funds, I’d buy a camp cottage pronto. We’ve rented three times, each time in a different “larger dogs accepted” home. I think my next dream cottage would be Pacific Idyll w/ Carriage House because it accepts larger dogs, I would love to see that dog artwork in the living room in person, I love the overall decorating style, and it is large enough to invite some friends along!

  69. By Kim Smith on Feb 26, 2009 | Reply

Seabrook is beautiful and having access to bicycles and easy beach access via the lovely, forested walking paths makes it even more special. We loved the nautical themed, red, white and blue decor of the cottage, featuring some great pictures of lighthouses. It was an easy day trip from Seabrook, to visit the Gray’s Harbor lighthouse and the Maritime Museum…both worth the drive.

Our goal is to stay at every one! This may take a life time but what fun! Our family is hooked including my mom & sis in-law. I have my boss looking too! We hope to stay next at Coyote Cottage. We love the quiet community. We love the floats! I have a pic of the cafe at night on my computer so every day I think of Seabrook….ahhhhhhhh………..

Okay, my absolute dream stay would be at the Marlowe Manor w/ Jessie James Hideout, hands down! I chose this one because the thought relaxing in the hot tub with my husband while the kids are tucked in their cozy bed and grandma is in her comfy space, actually makes me smile so BIG it hurts!

We have NEVER been to Washington, however you could consider us regulars at Bella Beach on the OR coast. I am thinking a trip to WA just might make us need to divide our time between OR and WA. We have been watching Sea Brook come alive through the website. It looks absolutely darling! :)

We stayed at Katya’s cottage and loved the coziness and decor and they allowed our dog. We would love to go back and try a stay at “The Perry” cottage, as our little boy goes by that name. The small white and cedar cottages are affordable and comfy.

We have loved Seabrook! For a return, I pick Once Upon a Time–for size (room for adult kids and grandchildren), location (near park w/ playground), style (Norwegian ancestry, love of Susan Sargent and Rie Munoz!), and what is included (library and more!). This seems like the perfect spot for our family to get together to make more Seabrook memories!

The Seabluff cottage looks amazing! Our family loves the ocean. It would be a great place to watch the sunsets together. We stayed in the Seas the Day cottage a few years ago and really thought it was beautiful too. We would definitely love to return to Seabrook. It is such a wonderful place to get away from it all.

Our Family Beach House is my pick. Letting my wife relax on the porch with a book, blanket and hot cocoa while I take our 10 month old son out to the playground to enjoy the outdoors. Then we’d soak in the hot tub while our little boy took a nap. In the evening, pop in a movie while we snuggle in the pull out sofa.

We fell in love with the description of Seabluff at Seabrook. It would be perfect for a reunion of our family — with kids coming from D.C., San Diego, Wisconsin and Connecticut. A vacation none of us would ever forget, in our beloved Northwest.

Hello everyone, I LOVE Seabrook and have stayed in at least eight of the homes of all sizes. Playing Hooky is a beautiful home that could host my children, grandchildren, and me nicely for a weekend in June.

Besides introducing at least six different groups to Seabrook, I am now getting the next generation, my children and grandchildren to come as well. I just wish I could afford to purchase one of the homes myself. It is a dream of mine that I have all the time. I love the new little cottages that were recently built. Maybe……….

A View for Two looks to be the perfect romantic getaway. Relax with a complimentary bottle of wine with views of the ocean. Keep your feet warm on the heated bathroom floor. Enjoy watching the winter storms from your perch, or meander to the beach. A great spot for any time of year.

Oh, the sea — how it calms one’s fears and stirs the soul like nowhere else! My family has stayed at the Bella Beach homes and absolutely loved our time there. I would love to have a 2-night stay with my mom at Sea Otter w/Carriage House (or any of the beautiful homes). We both love the sea and like so many people, because of financial stress from too many medical bills, will not be able to have a family vacation this year. Thanks for the opportunity!

Whatever Floats Your Boat is the cottage of my dream. Sometimes, a name simply explains it all. We have visted Seabrook several times, never stayed, but the first time (you always remember the first time), like your first kiss, our breath was taken away. The community is ideal, from bikes around the property, to a little deli/wine shop. Oh, yes, the beach, oh my, you do not have to mention anything more, except, this is NOT Ocean Shores!

We should win this contest because though not homeowners there, have spread the gospel about Seabrook wherever we go.

Thanks for the contest, happy picking!!

I love Seabrook. We took a group of friends to Adeline last Labor Day it was so wonderful! We plan to visit their sister property on Memorial day at Bella Beach, Its Five Oclock Somewhere. But we can’t wait to get back to Seabrook and see all the new construction added! This is just what the WA coast needed.

We visited Seabrook twice last summer and LOVED it. It is so charming. We have such great memories of our time there. In fact, last Fall, our 2 year old daughter, while playing with her 4 year old brother, said “Let’s pretend it’s my birthday and we’re at Seabrook.” Her birthday is Feb. 14th, and guess where we held our little sweetheart’s birthday party? Pacific Idyll in Seabrook. We loved the tiny cottages we stayed in last summer, Aloha in particular, for their charm. But for the complete package, charm, full ammenities, perfectly appointed, we’d have to choose Pacific Idyll. It has it all! We’ll be back. When you are 2 and 4, nothing beats riding your bike around and around and around the square!

I’d have to go with Shifting Gears. It sleeps more people, so we could bring our friends, and is dog friendly so we could have our family pets with us.

It’s also right across the street from Cresent Park, where we could walk and play with the dogs…when we’re not in the hot tub, that is!

For us, hands down Forest Echo is our favorite cottage. What a wonderful retreat with its hot tub, gourmet kitchen, cozy living room and fireplace, and an enclosed front porch that is a perfect for reading on a cold day. Our two children and our pet Lab stayed there over the summer and had a blast. I’m thinking the Sand Dollar Cottage looks absolutely divine. It’s so cute and quaint – those big chairs on the porch and a good book = heaven. Our border collie could come with and we could all spend hours and hours at the beach, just soaking up the sun (well, it is Washington, after all, so what little sun there is) and relaxing. We wouldn’t have to give up our espresso in the morning, because it’s just down the road. We could take a nice bike ride into town. We could play the XBox at night or watch TV before bed. We can relax in the hot tub after dinner.

Beautiful themed rooms. A kitchen I would not mind cooking in, it’s so ready, even though I would be on vacation.I love the beach! I leave now dreaming of a Seabrook vacation!

Seabrook is my favorite place on the entire Washington coast. With it’s breathtaking coastal setting, the quality of craftsmanship, attention to detail, the timeless appeal of it’s neighborhoods, the helpful staff, it will all exceed your expectations and you leave with beautiful memories. We spent two absolutely enchanting days there with our family at the end of the last summer…enjoying a special time of bonding which included biking around the neighborhood , picnicing on the beach, and running through the sand in our barefeet.

If we could go back, as hard as it is to choose a favorite, I think I would like to stay in Ocean’s Song. The interior is so inviting and tasteful and it looks like the perfect place to spend a restful weekend away.

The view of the rugged beach at Seagrove from Moondance Cottage would enrich my soul. I’m from the Midwest, Cincinnati to be precise, and the Northwest Coast is spectacular. I’m a high school English teacher with a writing problem. Wherever I go, my notes and laptop are in my bag with me. I could totally see myself writing contentedly in that setting. Moondance is especially appealing because my husband and I danced to the song by the same name many times in college in Oxford, Ohio. We’re still in love, thirty plus years later. Our daughter lives in Eugene, Oregon, and because of her wanderlust, we discovered the Northwest for ourselves.

Picking a single favorite at Seabrook is like being a kid cut loose at a really great candy shop. Theere are SO many great homes all with different but equally wonderful situations, architecture, and amenities. If you’re going to force me to choose I’ll have to go for Sofia’s Sandcastle as my most desired cottage for a Seabrook stay. I love the wrap-around porch and the sitution next to two gardens. My best friend, Joe the Dog, who’s getting up in years could lounge on the porch in sunbeam while I catch up on my Agatha Raisin mysteries and breathe the fresh sea air! Sounds pretty nice to me!!!

We would love to win a trip to Seabrook. Our family of four recently stayed in Into the Woods. My eight year old son got to chose the cabin as we were going to be celebrating his birthday there. We walked on the beach, rode bikes, soaked in the hot tub and played a new Wii game. It was peaceful and serene. We read books, played games and watched movies as well. It was a great way to celebrate. We share the birthday, so it was a gift for mom as well. We really enjoyed the house. It has a big stuffed animal bear in the corner which the kids thought was great and it was very quiet. We have also stayed in Central park which was just as great. The house I would love to stay in is Once Upon a Time. I think that the kids would always remember sleeping in those beautiful built in beds. There is plenty of room and a gorgeous porch.

I fell in love with Seabrook when a friend and I made it a destination while down on the shore visiting a mutual friend. I’m from New England and traveled to Nantucket a number of times in my younger days. Seabrook reminds me so much of Nantucket (and Martha’s Vineyard) – it was strangely nostalgic driving through “the village” of Seabrook even though it was my first visit.

The “cottage” I love the most is called “A Whale of an Adventure”. It has a carriage house and looks so much like like something on Cape Cod or Nantucket it’s amazing. I can picture myself and a few friends living there for a weekend.

There would be the requisite walks on the beach but also time strolling slowly through Seabrook looking closely at all of the homes. There would also be lots of “down time” just lazin’ around in pjs or sweats catching up with my friends, sharing meals and being a family of sorts – if only for a while.

Oh, yeah, then there’s time to read. Just got a great book called “American Nerd: The Story of My People (by Benjamin Nugent) – a fun, extremely interesting, eclectic read. Check it out.

I’m thinking positive thoughts and feel like the winner already. Gotta go pack my bags….

I have stayed at Seabrook twice. The first time was a year ago with my 2 high school children and their friends. We stayed at the Indigo House and absolutely loved it! So much so that we stayed a couple of extra days. We were able to take a day trip to the rain forest and another horseback riding at Ocean Shores. Perfect location, lots to do, and lots to not do! Hot tub, furnishings, entertainment, fire. All PERFECT!!! We came back in the summer with relatives and did it all over again. Can’t wait for the pool!

I would love to stay at the “playin’ hooky beach house,” as that looks exactly like what my hubby and I need. We had our 10 year anniversary in September ’08 and we were not able to get away to celebrate it properly. We’d love to play hooky at this gorgeous cottage!

My kids (now 12, 13 and 14) and I stayed at Once Upon A Time and it was the perfect getaway for a big family or a group of moms with the kids to getaway! The playroom upstairs had 4 twin swedish (built-in) beds and all the gaming stuff, big tv… and the whole place was brightly decorated to make it feel fun. Lots of rubber boots for walking and a great hot tub. My parents and brother joined us and there was plenty of room. Sleeps 10 in beds plus!

I’d go with Seabluff at Seabrook. I grew up on the East Coast and this particular cottage reminds me of Summers on Nantucket, Martha’s Vinyard, and Block Island. It would be nice to get that feeling without having to fly back there! The house accomodations sound terrific, the ocean view sublime, and I like the game room for the kids who need to be kept busy at all times!

We would choose Beachcomber. We have stayed at Seabrook a couple of times and loved both the cottages but, we would love to stay at Beachcomber because of its privacy and wonderful decor!

Our family would love to stay at Sand Dollar. We could even bring our beloved westie. We have had a long journey the past 12 months and deserve a rejuvenating vacation. the beach is our lifeline and we welcome a chance to stay at Seabrook, rest, play games, walk on the beach, play in the parks, build fires in the fire places and watch the stars.

I would chose “I’ll Fly Away” it seems like the perfect house no matter the weather. The sunroom would be the perfect place to curl up with a book, and at night you could look out and see the fabulous stars, plus it’s close to the park, and not far from the beach trail. Honestly having been to Seabrook twice already, I can’t think of any home that wouldn’t be a wonderful getaway. Seabrook is perfect for any type of vacation.

With the passing of Grandpa I think the tida Pool would be a great place for the whole family to come and get together for some unstressed time. This is big enought for grandkids and family…including the dog. Some quiet time on the beach is what we need.

    Thanks!

Hmm. Just one? My kids love going away with as many cousins as possible, AND their grandparents, too. We’ve been to Seabrook before, and they cannot wait to go back, dragging the highest number of family members they can along for the ride. Adeline looks perfect for a long weekend of big family dinners with s’mores afterwards at one of the firepits, flying kites and digging on the beach, and zooming through Seabrook on their bicycles. And a few friendly games of bocce or croquet.

I would choose Coasting for our getaway home. I’ve stayed in a couple other of the homes, but this one appeals to me because of covered porch, hot tub, and the Wii! I know that we would spend time outside, but the Wii would provide activity for children after dark. The Coasting is in a great location and is beautifully decorated!

I have been to Seabrook and eventhough every house really is prefect, I would have to pick Our Family Beach House. This home is so cozy you don’t even need to go to the beach, it is a vacation just being there :o )

We have stayed at Beach time and Indigo and both were lovely. I love the look of the porch on the Central Park house. I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the houses though. They are all decorated so nicely, they are comfortable and the atmosphere is so family oriented. You can’t go wrong with Seabrook!

Oh my gosh! I just got finished with the photo tour of Seabrook’s “Weldon House”. It is a dream! The decorator did an outstanding job making this cottage a visual feast and a wonderfully warm and comfortable escape for a family like mine.

This would give us the perfect excuse to travel up through Western Washington, (something we haven’t had a chance to do since we moved to the Northwest), and see part of the Washington coast. Ooh, I hope I win, I hope I win! :)

Oh, to try and pick just one out of all those fantastic homes. I think choosing a house for a weekend would depend on what type of weekend I was in the mood for. Fun w/ family and friends OR fun w/ out the kids and just have fun with the hubby! LOL!!! Well, since we are always looking for new adventures w/ our friends and our kids, I would have to try out “Once Upon A Time”. The colors are FUN, it’s spacious and inviting. Cozy, warm, friendly are what comes to mind. I love the fact that the kids have close places/areas to play and that there is a hot tub where the adults can play when the kids are sleeping! And with all of us, the 3.5 bathrooms is a must. The whole house is amazing and I’d love to take my friends and family to a house like this for a weekend away with no worries. I can just see us all sitting on the wrap around porch drinking our wine at night or our coffee in the mornings. :)

Seabrook is a combination of cape cod, a 1950′s beach bungalow resort and the artsy/writers place to stay. There is something there for every ocean lover to enjoy.I have been watching this area grow from its begining online thinking “oh its just another developement”. Wow was i wrong this is a true seaside vilage with its own village square and the small village values. What a fabulous place… I havent had the chance to stay to visit yet.But i always thought that our ooastline was going to waste, i can only hope that more places like this start to develop in the near future. For my choice of a cabin would have to be the coyote cottage to me its the perfection of a oceanfront cabin..

You’re only a quick walk to the beach, and a big park for playing ball and a cute little cafe. This summer, we’re bringing back an even larger crowd to stay in the Four Sisters. I can’t wait to sit in the wrap-around porch and sip some country time. :-)

I’d have to chose the Beach-n-Bike Cottage. It is absolutely decked out the way I would need…a crib for our 10 month old (that alone is a huge weight off our shoulders when we travel). I can see it now…play all day with baby in the sand…have a nice family dinner together…watch the sunset as a family on the porch…curl up with my hubby for a movie after we put baby to bed. What a sweet dream!

I picked Moon Dance because we stayed there in December when it snowed! When we arrived they provided candles because the lights were off and on…Saturday was sunny and warm, but the icing on the cake was to wake up on Sunday on the Coast to a snow covered ground – it was amazing! We were taking care of a blind single father’s children while he was at dog training school and decided to treat the kids a special weekend. Our Serbian exchange student came with his girl friend and had a great time too.
Another couple stayed Friday night and another couple came for lunch on Saturday.
We committed to a family member to take the entire family and hope to do that the end of April. The kids would love to take their Dad to the same house they stayed in. We have wonderful memories of this home…..

I booked the cottage, Sea’s The Day, last September and loved it! I’ve been studying the New Urbanism for several years now and have followed Casey Roloff’s successes by visiting both Bella Beach, in Oregon, and Seabrook. When I first saw Seabrook, there were only a few houses under construction, but I knew it would be the perfect beach town, and I haven’t been disappointed. If I were to dream it up, it couldn’t be better. We loved walking down to the beach, the colorful cottages, the quiet streets, and the close proximity to town. I think our cottage was the best though, with wonderfully beachy decor and colors, and a big morning porch for our coffee. Thank you for making our weekend at the ocean just perfect. I want to come back so much!!!

I think Adeline cottage with its Carriage house would be a great outing for our group: 6@7. We are three couples, one with kids, who worked with each others spouse at one time many, many years ago. We started doing monthly dinners out for six of us at 7pm, hence 6@7. We have since branched out to camping trips, vacations away (Hawaii for example) and also an occasional cruise. A stay at Seabrook’s Adeline cottage would be a great outing for our group.

We stayed at the Sandpiper our first and only (so far) trip to Seabrook last summer. it was the most memorable fourth of July i have had since i was a kid. Remember when everything was just so magical; the bright fireworks against the dark sky? The laughing and kids running all around? And walking back from the beach, the frogs croaking in the dark night along the stream? Seabrook brought that back for me. Thank you and i look forward to spending more summer nights with you.

I’d say the Hodgepodge Lodge takes me back. From the photographs, the autumnal color scheme is reminiscent of a warm, summer sunset. Fully outfitted and big enough to hold our family and our cousins’ family too! A perfect getaway.

Our favorite is the Beach -n- Bike cottage. It is decorated so beautifully, cozily, and comfortably and has all the perfect amenities to please children and adults. This cottage is so thoughtfully furnished with music, movies, beach toys, bikes, coffee travel mugs, coffee bean grinder, wine bottle opener, even marshmallow roasters. It is so relaxing to not have to worry about packing so many things – just bring yourself and food and enjoy. Couldn’t ask for more.

Pacific Idyll w/ Carriage House looks like the place for my large family and I. Its very dog friendly with a fenced backyard and I have 2 very active boys and kiddies to :) . It has 4 bedrooms which is perfect and a gourmet kitchen that looks like the perfect for the chefs I have in the family. I love the layout of this lovely community. The park looks like a great play area for the kids. A few family members and my husband and I are staying at Shifting Gears in March we are very excited and are thinking of Making Seabrook our regular family vacation get a way.

We stayed as a couple in Beach n’ Bike this summer and love, loved it. Would love to stay in the Adeline with extended family. Can’t wait to see the new homes being built on ocean side, the “public” pool, the boutique hotel with spa and future shops. We wish it could happen quicker! It is so nice to have a “nice” plae to stay on the Washington coast, Ocean Shores hasn’t changed in 30 years.

I would choose the Hodgepodge Lodge for several reasons. First, it allows dogs! It has plenty of room for a big group, wonderful indoor atmosphere, plus an outdoor hot tub and outdoor shower (which is a must with kids). Have stayed in several houses at Seabrook and have always admired this particular house…it always seems to be booked.

Thanks for putting on this contest! You’re too generous!

Marlowe Manor & Jesse James hideout. Ohmyword, this is such an amazing community, and such fabulous retreat homes, I have a hard time chosing just one. My dearest friend’s husband passed away last year. She lost her life-long companion, and my husband lost his best friend. 3 couples of us have been talking about taking her to the ocean in April to spread his ashes. This would be a perfect opportunity to spend some time together, enjoy memories and make new ones. We love Seabrook!

I would have to say that my favorite house is Adeline with the carriage house. The house looks warm, vibrant and full of great experiences to be made. With all the rooms their are in the house you can have your privacy when you want to and even read a book in the hot tub while you relax. Over all this house would bring a smile to who ever stays in it.
The possibilities are endless with Adeline.

My dog and I stayed at Weldin House the weekend after Labor Day in 2007. We picked Weldin House because large dogs are welcome there. No pets allowed on the furniture, of course, but Baxter was very comfortable on the large dog bed provided by the owners. He stretched out and relaxed on “his” bed while I relaxed on the couch in the media room while watching TV.

We had a lovely time and thank the owners for sharing their house with us. Would love to go back now that the restaurant is open to check out the cuisine.

We have always loved to vacation at the beach. I think the Central Park Cottage would be wonderful for a retreat with kids and grandkids. Have stayed at Bella Beach (so wonderful) but not Seabrook, which also sounds lovely. Looked longingly at Grandma Dorothy’s Cottage since we lost our Grandma Dorothy last year and Ella’s Escape might be nice with our little granddaughter Ella, but we need the room with six grandchildren offered in the Central Park Cottage. But since many of them are affected by the economy for various reasons they have all been unable to commit to going with us. That’s why I would choose the Adeline so that I can take them with me and my family for a little deserved R & R. Truly a great place!

We’ve stayed at Pacific Beach many times over the years as we raised our family living around the world. Seabrook is that culmination of those beach towns we enjoyed living in while on the Atlantic Coast. Now we have six grandchildren to spoil and share beach adventures. Bring on the storms or the sun, either way we would love to stay at “Grandma Dorothy’s” house to build those new memories of beach walks, treasure hunting, kite flying, fires and smores.

Our dream Seabrook cottage and why it is worthy would be the “Sand In The Toes” cottage. With it’s close proximity to the new children’s park and ocean it would make for a much deserving getaway for an over-worked Seattle family. At the end of the day after biking and beach combing nothing sounds better then relaxing in the large hot tub with a nice glass of NW wine.

Hands down Sand Dollar Cottage is the place to go. We’ve stayed there before and the decor, spacial layout, and location within Seabrook is unbeatable. We’ve had the opportunity to look through some of the other cottages and as nice as they are, we continue to return to the Sand Dollar Cottage. Just thinking of it while writing this makes me want to reserve another weekend. We treat the Sand Dollar as our own private home at the beach.

I would chose Ocean Song w/ Writer’s Loft cottage. It’s the perfect getaway for the whole family, with an ocean view to boot! My parents need a main floor bedroom, and the wheelchair ramp and ADA shower is a definite plus for my aging father! We can sleep upstairs with our baby across the hall, and my sister and brother-in-law can take the writers loft, with their teenage daughter crashing on the couch. Everyone has their own space, which is what makes the best family vacations!

We love the Periwinkle Cottage. My wife and I visited Seabrook over 2 years ago right after the first few homes were built, and well before most of the publicity started to pour in. We fell in love with everything about Seabrook most noteably the friendliness of the people involved with the community, and the quality of design, architecture and construction. As my wife and I do not have any kids, this little cottage would be perfect for us. It would something we would love to buy if it wasn’t for the unfortunate down turn in the economy. I’m playing Lotto and Mega-Millions this weekend in hopes of generating cash for one of these homes!

My Family first visited Seabrook July 2007 and stayed at the Lost Lobster. Well suffice it to say we we’re hooked, we booked again last year and plan to continue this family tradition. My family’s dream vacation is at Seabrook, we love spending the mornings walking the beach looking for seashells and my son especially likes climbing the rotted wood, playing with the seaweed and collecting Sanddollars. He keeps trying to see what lives inside (He’s 6). We love the distance from everything, the seclusion is awesome, no where to go, no place to be. Very relaxing and the community is amazing. We love spending time at the park and visiting with Darcie, who holds a special place in our hearts. She is so inviting and opens her home and heart to all that love Seabrook. We had a foam rocket war at central park with about 15 kids and I have to say it was the highlight of my vacation playing with my son and all the kids had a blast. The Lost Lobster is our favorite place, not only is the name cute but the decorating put us at ease when we first arrived. Thanks Seabrook and all you do to keep this American tradition alive and thriving.

Found out about Seabrook on the net last week. My 3 Aunts 2 cousins and I are going there this weekend. (Girl time.) I spent hours looking at the homes and have had a very hard time trying to deside which house to rent. Everyone had input and things they were looking for in a house. Some want view, Lg. TV, hot tub, comforable furniture, porch, beautiful decore, close to beach. That ment I had to go with Seabluff at Seabrook. It is the only house that offers all of these things. But all the houses look wonderful and we can’t wait to check out seabrook. I would love to win this and take my children and families for a get away. They live out of state and I would love to show off washingtons beautiful coast to them.

I would love to take my kids, Grandkids and husband to A Whale Of A Adventure. My husband and I stayed in aloha house and loved it. We had a wonderful time. Now I want the whole family to experience the aventure of beach life. I grew up at eah Bay and Port Angeles and love the beach. This is not ruffing it but injoying in comfort.

Having spent a great weekend there a few years ago, it is always on my mind on how to get back for a visit to Seabrook. The weather, had we have been anywhere else, would have been atrocious. But at Seabrook, the worst weather is good weather. The best weather is as close to heaven as you can get, and still be breathing. Seabluff would be my choice. But the worst place in Seabrook is still better than anyplace I can think of.

I would pick Marlowe Manor w/ Jessie James Hideout. It would be great for our large family and we could even bring another family with us. We stayed at bella beach and enjoyed it. It would be fun to go and take some friends up and enjoy a new adventure up at the washington coast.

I would choose the Tidal Pool because it sleeps 9 and allows for my furry kids to come with us. My family has had a hard time recently with the illness of my parents so I would invite my siblings to stay with us and enjoy some peace and the magic of the beach. :)

We have stayed in three different Seabrook cottages, and loved every one. If I had to choose one, I would choose Ocean Song, which is where we stayed on our last visit. It was perfect for us because it allows larger dogs, it’s close to the beach and cafe, and it was awesome for our three kids–all the toys and books kept them busy throughout our 4-day winter stay when it was too cold and windy to be outside much (it even snowed on our last day!)

I’d love to stay at the Sand Dollar Cottage. The covered front porch is SO STINKIN’ CUTE. I love being able to see the ocean, and drinking coffee on the porch in the morning is my favorite way to start the day.

I would choose “Park Slope” to stay in. This home seems to meet all of our needs – it has a fireplace, a hot tub, a fenced back-yard, allows large and small dogs, has a great location facing Crescent Park and this home is large enough for my entire family to stay!
    It’s gorgeous too!

We have been to Seabrook 2 times before with my family and it has been such a relaxing and amazing time hopefully we can win this trip! Seabrook is a wonderful beach escape on the Washington coast! Our family has stayed in many beautiful cottages over the last few years. Our favorite is SAND DOLLAR COTTAGE!!! It is spacious, with 3 suite bedrooms, each with it’s own bathroom, a sunroom overlooking Seabrook Avenue and the beach, a media room, a modern and well-equipped kitchen, and lovely garden. It accommodates families comfortably and we loved the hot tub and media room too! We love Seabrook and recommend Sand Dollar Cottage very highly!

INTO THE WOODS does not disappoint! I took my sister’s family last summer and after reviewing the description on the website she knew this house was the perfect dream cottage. My 5 year-old nephew loved the bear in the LR, enjoyed playing the Nintendo Wii upstairs, and most of all the bunk bed was a big hit. As for the adults, we appreciated the beautiful walk down to the water following the path just out the front door, the outside shower to wash the sandy kid off, and the hot tub. To top it off weather that weekend was sunny and warm. We made some fabulous memories and tucked them into a photo album for my nephew to help him remember the experience for a long time to come. Can’t wait to return.

I can just imagine sharing a freshly caught seafood dinner with friends and family around the table, with a fire crackling in the stove and music playing in the background, and then taking a walk on the beach to enjoy the sunset. What a delight to wake up to the sounds of the surf in the distance and birds singing in the woods while enjoying a steaming cup of coffee in the morning sunshine on the deck. We all miss the east coast but are reminded of it when we visit the community. I would love to LIVE there! Maybe someday! In the meantime, if I had to pick, the Adeline or the Sea’s the Day look wonderful but again, I’d be happy camping out in the community park so long as I’d get to see the cottages & reminisce of great memories back east.

I’d have to say that our stay at Moon Dance was pretty near to heaven. It was a giant house with room for our party of 10 to spread out and have our own space. I wanted to move in permanently.

We’ve stayed here before (Elinor Cottage). Park the car and walk/bike everywhere. Met lots of people sitting by the fire in the common area. If I went back I’d try to rent one of the cottages where I could hear the Ocean. Coyote cottage would fit that bill. We’d bring a couple of friends and a hammock and chill out.

I would definitely choose the Seabluff cottage. I’ve stayed at Seabrook several times, but have never had an ocean view. Dreamy!

I would love to leave my choice to chance…
Part of winning is the suprise we would get. Anyway, there are so many cottages and each seems to appeal to a different aspect of a costal vacation how could anyone choose?? I must say though that my wife loves a covered porch…

My wife and I love the Washington Coast. It’s such a contrast from our home here in Port Townsend. The raging ocean vs our calmer bay.

We find the coast a wonderful getaway.

Four Sisters with Carriage House is my dream home at Seabrook. It has enough room for a large family gathering and is close to the park.

Coasting w/Carriage House…the perfect spot for the entire family to gather…a dream of ours! The family from WA & Idaho could meet up with the CA bunch. Our chance to check out Seabrook and maybe finally buy our family home!

I’d love to spend my upcoming “40th Birthday” at Seabrook. I would bring all my girlfriends and have a big pajama party at “Into the Woods” WE’d have some bb-q shish kabobs, wine, and make some great memories. I absolutley love anything to do with the beach!

A group of friends and I have stayed at Seabrook a few times, in a couple of cottages, and found that ‘A Whale of an Adventure’ is the perfect size for our group. We’ve enjoyed spending a weekend riding around, walking on the beach, making communal dinners, and playing games. It’s the perfect way to unwind and get away from the stresses of the normal workweek.

My wife and I visited Seabrook about a month ago an stayed in The Lost Lobster. We enjoyed this quaint cottage and Seabrook so much we have decided to spend at least one week per month in The Lost Lobster.

There is so much to do within 30 minutes of Seabrook: 2 min to Pacific Beach shops, 30 min to Lake Quinault Lodge for great dining or the Olympic Rain Forest & much more. Enjoy!

I would choose the Sand Dollar Cottage. My family stayed there last summer and we hope to return again soon. It was perfect, very nicely furnished, with enclosed porch/sunroom for relaxing and reading. We had a blast riding the bicycles around the village and checking out the other cottages. Can’t wait to see the completion of the shops, etc. in the village.

Our family stayed at the Seastar Cottage last June and loved everything about it especially the ping pong table and hot tub. The rooom configuration was perfect for our extended family of 7. The decor was just our style!

We have stayed at Weldin house last 3 years and really enjoyed it. But I think we would like to try Sophias Sand since it is right across from Cresent Park – and that is where the boys love to play!!
We love going every August and look forward to it again this year.

adeline with the carriage house seems like a great place to have a family get together—we have stayed at pine point and loved it but that was just 4 of us–it would be so great to be able to have so much family there together having fun at the beach.

Ocean Mist looks like the perfect location for my fiance and I to take our kids (three boys, ages 11, 9 & 8) for the weekend. It’s always a challenge to pry them away from the video games, but somehow I don’t think it would be a problem here! Plus, I love the fact that two bikes come with the cottage….it’s a beautiful touch.

Central Park w/Carriage House-This is everything I would want at the beach and in my own home. A big front porch, the smell of the ocean air, the sound of the waves, a view of the beach, and forgetting what time of day it is….to just “BE”. The ocean is my absolute favorite place in the world and I would love a chance to spend a night or two in one of these fabulous properties.

Seabrook is the place for my family and I. Idyll with Carriage House is the one for us. I have a large family with kids and dogs and this house looks like it will have everything we need. Thank you so much for this opportunity.

Oh, boy. It took me half an hour to decide. It was excruciating. In the end, I decided on the Beachcomber House if it’s just us and the kids, or the Sea Otter if we could get my parents to come along. What a nice pipe dream. Pick me, pick me!!

I would love to stay in “Once Upon A Time” with my big family. We have 7 kids (3 of them are grown) and it would be so fun to gather there. I love the adorable built-in beds upstairs, and the big kitchen with 6 burners, wow! And the memory foam beds, ah! they would feel so comfy! And it’s so close to the big park…6 of our kids are boys, they would have a blast throwing their football around there. Our little boy would love the playgrounds. And we could all ride bikes, how fun! What a quaint little town, it’s adorable.

If I could, I would fly away to Nantucket, but since I can’t…a stay at ‘I’ll Fly Away is the next best thing! Also, because it sleeps ten,my family could fly away with me to experience a little Nantucket on the western shores of Washington.

After WAY too much searching & oogling of these beautiful homes, I settled on “Four Sisters w/ Carriage House.” The name initially caught my eye (I’m from a family of sisters) but what sealed the deal was the final photo of the view of Crescent Park from the porch. Our kids would be in heaven right there across from a park and just down the road from the beach!

My Husband and I got married at the “sister” community ~ Bella Beach, just south of Lincoln City, 5 years ago this July. Living in Tacoma, we have always longed for the opportunity to experience Seabrook! We would LOVE to “Sea’s The Day” and bring our dogs to relax and truly enjoy the Washington coast!!!!

I think the Playin’ Hooky Beach House sounds like a blast. It would be awesome to be so close to the beach. It also sounds like it is close to a neat park, which would be perfect to take my niece and nephew to.

My wife and I were first introduced to Seabrook by our son who took his bride there for their honeymoon. They loved it so much, they said we HAD to go! So … after much careful research we vote for “I’ll Fly Away.” It’s got all the features we’re looking for, and big enough for the crowd we’d like to treat to a Seabrook getaway.

We would love to run-away to the ocean to relax in any of your lovely homes. I have been looking at Whatever Floats Your Boat for a few months, now. The open gourmet kitchen, wrap around deck, bicycles, games and only 10 minute hike to the beach would make a wonderful extended family retreat. We have a friend from Ohio coming to visit in August, she has never been to the ocean. We plan to bring her to the beach!! It would be great to stay in this beautiful home.
