As you know, we’re great lovers of the Washington Coast here at Nerd’s Eye View. We’ve recently returned from two nights at Seabrook and we think you should go. Lucky you, Nerd’s Eye View was contacted by Seabrook and you have the chance to win a free two night stay! I’m just going to repost the text as it came from the folks at Seabrook – it tells you what to do. The usual disclaimers – restrictions apply, minor revisions made to the text, yadda yadda.
Bonus! If you win – and you want the bonus – I’ll give you advice on where to go and what to do during your stay. Now, take it away, Seabrook:
The Perfect Giveaway is a Coastal Giveaway: Seabrook, A Beach Town
Out on Washington’s Pacific Coast, the only rubber you’ll burn is on your beach bicycle or your flip-flops. Seabrook, a simple, scenic 2.5-hour drive from Seattle, is a new beach town near Olympic National Park, with pristine beaches, charming cottages and a friendly, village appeal.
If you’re quick on your keyboard, you may find yourself enjoying a free, two-night stay in a swanked out Seabrook cottage (an up to $350 value). Seabrook’s idyllic setting includes beach cruisers (get pedaling!), easy beach access, nearby parks, playgrounds, shuffleboard, horseshoes, fire pits and on-site Northwest dining at the Seabrook café.
For your chance to win, browse the rental cottages of Seabrook and pick your favorite for a vacation. Post a comment citing your dream cottage and why it’s worthy. The contest will end on March 3 at 11:59 p.m. (PST) and there’s just one, highly-envied winner, selected at random from the comments.
If you miss this contest deadline, Seabrook is offering off season incentives for buy one night/get one night free night stays Sun through Thurs through March 12. Call (877) 779-9990 to “get beached†and reserve. Specials must be phoned in, but browse cottage options here (dog friendly avail!).
Warning: Seabrook could be habit-forming; once you stay, you might not want to come back. Lucky for you Seabrook also has great beach homes for sale. View them online.
We chose Seabrook for our recent stay because it’s super comfortable, a great location for seeing the easily reached natural wonders of the Washington Coast, and they have fully stocked kitchens. Our pals the DCDN family held their 10th anniversary party at Seabrook, renting out a whole block of the houses to accommodate gajillion friends, neighbors, and their kids – I’m no expert, but it sure seems like a great place for families. We will absolutely go back there, no question. The off-season rates can’t be beat, either – we got a cottage for four, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, for two nights for 140 dollars. That’s a serious bargain.
Now, go look and come back and comment. I’ll use the random number generator to pick the winner. You have to put in a cottage name to win, entries without a suggested cottage will be disqualified.

we’ve enjoyed three great stays @ Once Upon a Time. we explore a little more of the coast each visit, but most of all just enjoy hanging out in the house. it’s so comfortable, attractive, and stocked with amenities, it’s easy to enjoy Once Upon a Time rain or shine. a great place to go with families or for a couples get away.
If you are looking for a place where you can walk, beachcomb, ride bikes, take a hike and enjoy the local surroundings then pick Seabrook. We decided to take advantage of a recent special and fell in love with the town. By far my family votes for Sunset Cottage, where we have found a “home away from home”. We wish we could visit every weekend!
We have twice now visited Seabrook and what a pleasure. All the homes are lovely and so interesting to look at. The walking trails are easy and enjoyable. The hidden floats make for extra adventure. My granddaughter wanted to stay next at Sand in the Toes so I suspect that would be my choice. The decor is lovely but every home there seems to be that way.
I love “Happy Day’s” cottage. Very cute!
Sand Dollar Cottage sounds like the one for me. Hot tub, ocean views, wood floors, and pet friendly…..!!!! I actually drove around Seabrook today on my day trip to the coast….
Sand Dollar Cottage seems to be small enough with the stuff I would enjoy… I could bring my weiner dog who’s 16….
“Once upon a time” would be my dream spot. It would be so relaxing and dreamy!
I would choose Ocean’s song w/ Writers Loft. It looks like a very cute house. We’ve been to Seabrook before and absolutely love it!
My family and I have been dreaming of having a family reunion and this would be a perfect place to visit and enjoy your lovely community. We would love the opportunity to enjoy our stay at the “Ocean Song w/ Writer’s Loft”. Thank you for this opportunity.
The Coblentz Family
Sea’s The Day is the choice of my house. I want to visit and stay there because such home is the house that will take care of all my immediate family. I like the fireplace and the windows around it. I like a fireplace and being close to the water.
My only grandson was conceived in Seabrook. He is only 3 months old and he told me that he wants to go and visit Seabrook where his mammy and daddy went to spend a vacation weekend. I also would like to know where it all happened. Choose me as soon as possible.
The wonderful ocean view Seabluff House would be a great place for my family to get some much needed r & r…
I would choose the Ocean’s Song. The outside (I love the big front porch and the pale green and white color scheme)and inside (the kitchen and living room look warm and cozy) are just what I would want if I were building my dream beach cottage. I also like the ADA accessible bathroom/bedroom on the first floor. Everything looks perfect!
My 7yr old grandaughter and I have been browsing through all the beautiful cottages and dreaming about staying in ALL of them!!! We finally decided that Seastar is our favorite! We would treasure a stay there and a chance to finally visit Seabrook. The ocean has always been a special place for my family to get away from “life” and renew our spirits.
Sparkling grains of sand. Crisp morning breezes touched with salt water. A warm fire crackling in the front room. Unforgettable moments to share with your family. Smiles on everyone’s face. Quiet walks to the beach. Lively bike rides to the Cafe. Holding hands on the back porch. The sound of children laughing in the park. Watching our dog bask in the afternoon sun. A vacation to sooth our souls.
That’s a weekend at the Elanor Cottage.
Seabrook Washington.
I can’t wait to be there again.
I would pick the Sunrise Cottage. The beach is so rejuvenating. I am battling cancer and just enjoy the coast so much as a way to gather strength.
Adeline is my top choice. WOW!!!
Our family trip to Seabrook was wonderful. We rode horses on the beach, flew kites, and okked for sand dollars. We stayed in Sand Doller Cottage which was the perfect size/layout for our family.
I would love to come and visit Seabrook with my husband Mike. I enjoyed looking at the photo’s of The Perry. We will celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary this year and have very fond memories of the area as we stayed at Ocean Crest for our honeymoon! We are now retired and are thinking of purchasing a getaway…..and have always loved the beach!
ONCE UPON A TIME is my favorite!!! I love the whimsical environment and well laid out furnishings. Staying here is an invitation to relax and enjoy the beauty of Seabrook. Enjoy the original artwork and and experience the warmth of this home – a perfect place to share family time and catch up with special friends.
I have stayed at the Moondance and would love to go back with my entire family. There is plenty of room, I love the layout, and the house is immaculate.
My favorite is the Beachcomber with its cozy yet tasteful charm, and the big deck facing the woods. I can just imagine sharing a freshly caught seafood dinner with friends and family around the table, with a fire crackling in the stove and music playing in the background, and then taking a walk on the beach to enjoy the sunset. What a delight to wake up to the sounds of the surf in the distance and birds singing in the woods while enjoying a steaming cup of coffee in the morning sunshine on the deck. I’m keeping my fingers crossed this will all come true!
We would LOVE to stay at the SWEETHEART! We’ve been married almost 31 years and we’re still sweethearts! Being from AZ, our dream is to retire in the Northwest on the coast. We want to buy a small cozy cottage where we could retire with our dogs. Our grandkids will just have to come visit! We’ve been following the progress of Seabrook and we would absolutely LOVE to come and visit! Thank you!
The “Sweetheart” to allow a couple to reconnect with each other and reignite the passion fire.
I would choose Adeline because we saw it being built last time we visited Seabrook and I want to see the inside! Love this place!
I think Once Upon A Time would be a great place to vacation! Especially if the hot tub is hot!
Marlowe Manor looks very nice and perfect for a family getaway in the beautiful Seabrook community.
If I go to Seabrook, and I’m sure I will one day, I would choose the Pacific Idyll w/Carriage House to stay in. Talk about something for everyone. I would take my husband/parents/in-laws/sisters and of course our kids
) and the house already has games for everyone to play. No packing a bunch of extras! So much space – perfect for a large family get together!
I love Seabrook. I’m not sure if I am more taken by the green building, the wonderful architectural details, the lack of sprawl, the community feel, the wonderful beach or the reasonable drive from Seattle but it all FEELS GOOD. I chose A View for Two as the place that would combine a tree top feeling with a view of the beach—what could be better. Congratulations on a job very well done!!
I am not entering the contest, but I have to give a shout to praise “Into the Woods” as another couple and my family rented it for a weekend and between the WII and bikes for the kids, the hot tub, a gorgeous kitchen and limiting in the midst of the razor clam season, we were in HEAVEN! Seabrook is an amazing place that really brings people together and gets you back to nature.
Seabrook is a perfect getaway. The Beachcomber looks nice. Thanks so much for offering this!
I would choose Marlowe Manor with Jesse James Hideout. We have a large extended family with 14 members – 2 small boys who watch old “Westerns” every time they get a chance “On Demand” & 4 other girls, ages 9 to 15 who would adore the “hideout” as well. We love to be together with Grani & Crappi. Pick us, we love Seabrook. We’ve stayed there before!!! It is a blast!
My wife and I have been dreaming about a vacation at Seabrook since we first looked at it almost two years ago. We were very interested in the properties and had wished there was a way for us to buy a vacation cottage there. When we saw this contest, we knew we had to enter and so we found the Lily Pad Cottage to be our favorite. It’s list of Entertainment options is the best part for us. We will enjoy the games and movies as well as the sounds of the ocean nearby. I can hardly wait to enjoy the sand and surf on the Washington Coast.
….by the sea, a chance to spend time on in an olde fashioned cottage…..the Lost Lobster……….a quaint name to go with the whole experience of staying at this unusual, quaint old fashioned feeling resort area. We love the ocean……and I enjoy the feeling of stepping back into time……
The Beachcomber sounds like just the place for a good book, some good movies, and a cuddly fire. Our family (all 12 of us) stayed at Leah’s Lighthouse last winter to celebrate one who loved the ocean and had passed away. Although it was cold and windy when we arrived, the sun and warmth came out and we had a wonderful time on the beach with the grandkids wading and building castles.
Pick a favorite? Are you kidding? I’d love to stay ANYWHERE at Seabrook! A couple times a year my whole family goes out to Pacific Beach & we love to stop by Seabrook to see what’s new. We all miss the east coast but are reminded of it when we visit the community. I would love to LIVE there! Maybe someday! In the meantime, if I had to pick, the Adeline or the Sea’s the Day look wonderful but again, I’d be happy camping out in the community park so long as I’d get to see the cottages & reminisce of great memories back east.
Adeline with Carriage House would be great. We have heard many wonderful things about Seabrook, and would really enjoy visiting there with our family and friends.
Seabrook looks wonderful, and we would be very happy with a stay in Pacific Idyll with all our family (dogs included)!
Adeline with carriage house would be a great place for all our friends and family. We have heard great things about Seabrook, and would love to stay there.
I would choose the “Our Family Beach House”. I was just there a week ago with my friends from my former town (Sequim) and it was the first getaway that I have been able to have with them in the 2 years since I moved over 3 hours away. It was a wonderful, restorative time of friendship and laughter. A much needed getaway. The Our Family Beach House was lovely and certainly condusive to just hanging out laughing and catching up on each others lives. THANKS
I would choose the Seabluff Cottage. I work for the State of Washington in the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Since my wife and I moved for my job .. the job has demanded a huge portion of my time. I would like to be able to spend some time with my wife and two children without having to worry about what I should be doing for work. I chose the Seabluff because I am Deaf and a very visual person. The Seabrook .. looks to be relaxing. I can imagine being able to sit on the large wrap around porch and become reconnected with my family.
One “Once Upon A Time” please!
Thanks so much.
My sisters and I had a reunion in Forest Echo a couple of years back. The house was perfect with plenty of bathrooms! We loved the kitchen and large table. We not only cooked up a storm but also did crafts and had a hilarious time. Some of us were not so crafty! I am going back this year with my daughter to stay in a smaller house. Any suggestions?
I’d have to say that our stay at Moon Dance was pretty near to heaven. It was a giant house with room for our party of 10 to spread out and have our own space. I wanted to move in permanently.
Beach Break is my favorite.describes exactly what hubby and I need,we care for the elderly in our home and haven’t been anywhere in years. would just like to go somewhere were for just a couple days we are footloose and fancy free
The Pacific Idyll w/ Carriage House sounds wonderful.
Thank you so much!!!!
We’ve stayed here before (Elinor Cottage). Park the car and walk/bike everywhere. Met lots of people sitting by the fire in the common area. If I went back I’d try to rent one of the cottages where I could hear the Ocean. Coyote cottage would fit that bill. We’d bring a couple of friends and a hammock and chill out.
I would definitely choose the Seabluff cottage. I’ve stayed at Seabrook several times, but have never had an ocean view. Dreamy!
I would love to leave my choice to chance…
Part of winning is the suprise we would get. Anyway, there are so many cottages and each seems to appeal to a different aspect of a costal vacation how could anyone choose?? I must say though that my wife loves a covered porch…
My wife and I love the Washington Coast. It’s such a contrast from our home here in Port Townsend. The raging ocean vs our calmer bay.
We find the coast a wonderful getaway.
Four Sisters with Carriage House is my dream home at Seabrook. It has enough room for a large family gathering and is close to the park.
Coasting w/Carriage House…the perfect spot for the entire family to gather…a dream of ours! The family from WA & Idaho could meet up with the CA bunch. Our chance to check out Seabrook and maybe finally buy our family home!
