Lia, this is a GREAT piece of advice. I'll be sure to bring my eyeballs everywhere and my camera, a few less places.

Pam, what a great film introduction. I really wish I was going along. Might I give one piece of advice... choose the moments you bring your camera along. As someone who has been on boats in great places, I have seen so many people behind a lens whenever a whale or dolphin or butterfly tree appears. Instead of sitting still and being present in the moment, they get busy at catching the right angle so they have a photo they can show of a situation they didn't really, on a fundamental level, even partake upon. I always make taking my camera along as a conscious choice: ten days without, one day with. If I don't get enough photos that one day, flickr cc does the trick.

Looking at the video above and seeing people taking photos even while motoring into the bay, made me want to tell you to please explore with your senses and not behind a lens.
