The place I stayed — paid for by Arizona Tourism, but not mentioned in the story — was a really beautiful Spanish style courtyard retreat called Casa San Pedro. Sometimes, they tag hummingbirds right there at the inn and it’s quite the haven for birders.
After seeing all your tweets about Casa San Pedro, husband and I booked a stay there during the time you recommended. I do that sorta thing–read a blog or tweet and next thing you know, I’m booking a new trip. Especially if BIRDS. Thanks for inspiring.
