Charmers, everywhere.<\/li>\n<li>In the hotel lobby, the ten piece Latin band in matching shirts and the South Indian family dancing.<\/li>\n<li>Watching three huge dark birds &#8212; cormorants? &#8212; fly across the water early this morning.<\/li>\n<li>Watching the tugboat tend to the freighter that&#8217;s just off shore.<\/li>\n<li>The mango mojito I had with dinner last night.<\/li>\n<li>The charm of the people I&#8217;ve interacted with so far. I genuinely enjoyed the company of the hotel marcomm gal and the spa manager last night, they were fun. Really! Sometimes those PR dinners can be a real drag and last night, that was absolutely not so.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Chicken Pizza&#8221; Snork.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Things I&#8217;m less than crazy about:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The way Spanish is a second language. I&#8217;m in your country and you&#8217;re apologizing to ME because you can&#8217;t find the English word? Knock it off.<\/li>\n<li>The loud plumbing from next door (or was it upstairs?) last night around 1am. And the noise from the hallways. (This is a problem in a LOT of hotels, I&#8217;ve found.) Sorry, Marriott. The room and the view are lovely and the bed oh so comfortable, but wow, that&#8217;s some noisy plumbing.<\/li>\n<li>My coffee, this morning. Plus, how come it&#8217;s a latte and not a cafe con leche? Admitted? I&#8217;m so not used to the rich taste of whole milk.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">The missing tour company. Well, I&#8217;m pretty sure they weren&#8217;t missing, but my name was missing from their list. Oops.<\/span> Scheduling mishap! All fixed! Off to go snorkeling, Chicken Pizza tomorrow (Sunday).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The sound of the surf.
