We made it halfway up the valley wall and gave in at the viewpoint. The coming storm &#8211; we could see it from the overlook &#8211; and the lateness of the hour made turning back The Right Thing To Do.<\/p>\n<p>I think it&#8217;s always a good move to cave in and go home. You can&#8217;t win against nature, why fight it? When we got home I ate some cookies, fell asleep on the couch, and then had a bath.
