In Seattle and Fine, Thanks for Asking

On the pro side:

  1. On a full plane, it is a blessing to have an empty seat next to you. The gods must have been smiling because after some shuffling, the nice guy from Alaska got moved to sit next to his wife and no one took his place.
  2. Ambien plus a glass of wine plus isolation earphones equals four hours of sleep!
  3. The pho place wasn’t crowded and the service was quite fast. Pho itch scratched. Whew.
  4. My friends, oh how I love them! Not only are there flowers on the kitchen table, but there are snacks and bread and coffee and…and when I got up parched in the middle of the night, I found fancy bottled water in the fridge – and half and half for my morning coffee.

On the con side:

  1. Yikes. The weather is a bit of a shock.
  2. I need to find a job.
  3. Dude. I just spent, like, 9 billion hours in transit. I’m TIRED.

  1. Glad you made it and the trip didn’t sound too bad at all …

Life goes on here, lacking real life friends I bought myself some ciabatta and olives with feta … poured that last glass of white wine because it was after 4pm … picked out the 4 miniscule fruit flies floating on the surface … what a death, thought I, and drank said wine with olives and things.

Enjoy Seattle … oh, you are already 🙂
