It won’t surprise you that here at Nerd’s Eye View House o’ Big Opinions, we’ve said a thing or two about Christmas trees before. With our airport in the international media spotlight it seems fitting to recycle two Nerd’s Eye View posts about the holiday.
We caught the rabbi on the news last night and he did not request the removal of the trees. He seemed like a reasonable enough gent for a guy from a pretty extreme sect, plus, he was sporting a beard of Karl Marx-esque proportions that we could not ignore. We’re inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Update: There’s a good round up of what happened here in our local paper. Worth noting in this story? The Rabbi, who’s really getting bashed, asked nice some time back for the menorah and the port dropped the ball.
Also for the record, I love Christmas trees. I’m just a stickler for using the correct label.
