If you’re not sick to death of pictures of J. and I frolicking in the breathtakingly gorgeous outdoors, you can take a look at the new photos I added snow days album (here) from our day out on Sunday, during which we went snowshoeing AND skiing, both.

We are learning a lot about taking pictures in the snow - Where the hell do you meter, anyway? Flash? No flash? We are both thoroughly enamoured with the Digital Rebel we got last Fall. Last week when we were walking up the stair climb in Graz, this guy was berating his girlfriend for taking too many pictures - they were going to have to pay a packet for all that developing. Now we walk around saying this to each other: Are you wasting digital media again? Cut that out, okay?! I should say at this point that many of the pictures I post are taken by his highness, they’re not all mine. He’s got a good eye on him, he does.

Household update:

Radiator guy showed up at 7am this morning. It’s Fasching (as Carnival is called here) and he wants to be done early so he can get down with his bad self during the 24 hour partying that’s going to start any minute now.

Temps this morning? -19F/-1C. I’m still crabby about the repairs, but he’s nearly done and the little closet where I sit while updating the web site is warm, at least, if noisy.

My cold/sinus thing is mostly gone. I’m left with a dull headache but it’s anyone’s guess if that’s from the noise or the germs. I’m off to eat lasagne at the homestead and then we’re going to go, I dunno. look at snow or something, maybe go for a little walk. I gotta get outside for a bit in the sunshine, even if it’s the kind of weather that freezes your nose shut when you breathe.
